KUWAIT, Aug 13 (KUNA) -- Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Ambassador to Venezuela and non-resident envoy to Colombia Mohammad Al-Shabo, has participated in the inauguration of new Colombia President Juan Manuel Santos, who would serve a second four-year term.
Al-Shabo conveyed to Santos greetings of His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-sabah, wishing the Colombia people continued development and prosperity, Kuwait's Embassy in Caracas said in a statement, sent to KUNA Wednesday.
Santos, it added, thanked His Highness the Amir and said Colombia was keen on boosting bilateral relations at all levels.
Ambassador Al-Shabo also conveyed the greetings of Acting Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to Colombian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin, and extended an invitation to her to visit Kuwait.
The statement said Al-Shabo also met with senior Colombian officials and discussed means of bolstering bilateral cooperation. (end) bs
