KUWAIT, March 15 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State
for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah is due to head the
Kuwaiti delegation at the second Islamic conference for youth and sports
ministers due in Jeddah on March 17-18.
The ministry said in a statement on Saturday conferees would discuss
reports, prepared by special committee of the Organization of Islamic
Cooperation (OIC), designed to promote sports in Islamic states. They would
also tackle other issues, namely objectives and tasks of the supervisory and
coordination bureau, the office logo and venue and would also watch a video
presentation about Azerbaijan's planned hosting of the Islamic tournament, due
in 2017.
Agenda also includes broadlines of a strategy aimed at promoting youth
causes in the Islamic world, the executive scheme of the Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques' initiative for dialogue among nations of various religions and
cultures and a draft document about the youth, human rights and citizenship in
Islamic states.
The minister's delegation will include ministry officials, Secretary of the
Kuwaiti Journalists Association Faisal Al-Ginaee and Al-Qabas Deputy Chief
