RAMALLAH, March 4 (KUNA) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that
an agreement was reached on Tuesday with Saudi Arabia's Prince Al-Waleed bin
Talal to establish a number of projects for the benefit of the Palestinian
people.
During a meeting between the two, President Abbas expressed his
appreciation for Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the Saudi royal family
for their relentless support of the Palestinian people, expressing wishes for
similar visits in the future.
For his part, Prince Al-Waleed said that such visit was to bolster
cooperation with Palestine in various investment and humanitarian areas.
The Saudi prince added that he informed the Palestinian leadership on his
readiness to support the Palestinians, noting that what he witnessed in
Ramallah and the West Bank reflected the wise leadership of President Abbas,
despite the huge pressure by the Israeli occupation.
Prince Al-Waleed noted that president Abbas' wise leadership will lead in
the end for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The Saudi official met also with a number of Palestinian businessmen. (end)
