KUWAIT, July 13 (KUNA) -- Up to 439,715 citizens are eligible to vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections due to be held on the single-vote basis to choose members of the 50-seat National Assembly.
The number of the franchised nationals in the five constituencies rose 17, 146, 4.05 percent of the electorate as compared to that of the elections of the December 2012 dissolved assembly, at a rate of 9,342 males and 7,804 females.
The electorate of the five districts are divided as following: 206,096 males, 46.87 percent, 233,619 females, 53.12 percent.
The fifth constituency is number-one in terms of the number of the franchised citizens: 122,429 (602,321 men 622,97 women), 27.86 percent of the total electorate.
The fourth constituency came second: 113,685 voters, (51,560 males, 62,125 females), 25.85 percent of the electorate, then came the first constituency with 77,245 (36,079 men and 41,166 women), 17.56 percent.
Then came the third constituency with 76,501 voters (34,745 men, 41,756 women), 17.39 percent. The second constituency posted the lowest number of voters, at 49,755 (23,480 men and 26,275 women), 11.31 percent.
Number of the voters of the dissolved 2012 parliament reached 422,565, 196, 754 men, 46.56 percent, and 225,815 women, 53.43 percent.
The fifth constituency had recorded the largest number of the voters, at 118,461 (57,941 men and 60,520 women, up to 28.03 percent of the overall electorate, then came the fourth constituency with 108,395 voters (48,525 men and 59,870 women), 25.65 percent of the elecotrate, then the first constituency with 74,876 voters, 34,783 men and 40,093 women), 17.17 percent.
Then came the third district with 73,065 voters, 33,002 men and 40,063 women, 17.29 percent, while the second posted the lowest number of voters at 47,772, 22,503 men and 25,269 women), at 11.30 percent.
Figure of the franchised Kuwaitis of the invalidated 2012 parliament reached 400,296, with 184,996 men, 46.21 percent, and 215,300 women, at 53.78 percent.
The fifth constituency had the lion's share of the voters at 113,407, including 54,797 men and 58,610 women, some 28.33 percent of the elecorate.
Then came the fourth district with 103,280 voters, 45,767 men and 57,513 women, at 25.80 percent of the electorate. Then came the first with 71,146 voters, including 32,796 men and 38,350 women, at 17.77 percent.
