KHARTOUM, June 4 (KUNA) -- At least 38 people were killed and 22 others
wounded when a bus crashed into a truck head-on in central Sudan on Tuesday.
The horrible accident took place in Al-Qotniya town, said Director of the
General Traffic Dept. Abdulrahman Hassan Abdulrahman who blamed the accident
on over speed.
"As part of its efforts to control traffic and curb the rise of the deadly
accidents countrywide, the department ordered 25 road radars from foreign
suppliers," Abdulrahman noted.
Over speed, reckless driving and erroneous overtaking are the common causes
of deadly accidents in Sudan, he added. (end)
