KUWAIT, Feb 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's National Assembly (parliament) approved
recommendations to form its temporary committees and committee members in its
Tuesday session.
The lawmakers, had in their first session of the new term, postponed the
proposals until today's meeting.
By acclamation, MPs Mohammad Al-Khalifa, Adel Al-Damkhi, Nayef Al-Ajmi,
Mohammad Hayef and Abdulhamid Dashti became members of the temporary committee
tasked with the affairs of illegal residents in the country.
The parliament also named MPs Abdullah Al-Turaiji, Mohammad Al-Dallal,
Mohammad Hassan Al-Kandiri, Abdulatif Al-Ameeri and Saleh Ashour members of
the women and family affairs' committee.
As for a committee on agriculture and livestock, MPs Munawer Al-Azmi,
Mubarak Al-Waalan, Bader Al-Dahoum, Saifi Al-Saifi and Mohammad Al-Jwaihel,
were selected.
A committee on human rights, saw the parliament name MPs Adel Al-Damkhi,
Waleed Al-Tabtabai, Faisal Al-Yahya, Mohammad Hayef and Abdulhamid Dashti as
members.
Furthermore, the parliament named MPs Abdulrahman Al-Anjari, Ali Al-Omair,
Hamad Al-Mutar, Falah Al-Sawagh and Marzouq Al-Ghanim as members of a
committee on environment and nuclear energy.
For parliamentary background on housing affairs, MPs Ali Al-Rashed, Nabil
Al-Fadhel, Ahmad Mutea' Al-Azmi, Salem Al-Namlan and Abdullah Al-Bargash were
chosen by acclamation.
A committee that seeks to tackle negative acts alien to the Kuwaiti
society, named MPs Mohammad Hayef, Osama Al-Munawer, Waleed Al-Tabtabai, Bader
Al-Dahoum and Adel Al-Damkhi.
The parliament's committee on disabilities and special needs welcomed Ammar
Al-Ajmi, Shaya Al-Shaya, Musallam Al-Barrak, Jamaan Al-Herbesh and Khaled
Shukhair.
The parliament agreed to refer the proposal to form a committee concerned
with general development to the National Assembly's office, in order to
examine its feasability and to make the appropriate recommendations. (end)
