WASHINGTON, Sept 28 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah arrived here Wednesday for a two-day official visit to the US.
He was received by Chief of Protocol of the US House Capricia Marshall and Kuwaiti Ambassador in Washington Sheikh Salem Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and several other Kuwaiti diplomats in Washington.
Speaking to KUNA and Kuwait Television, the Kuwaiti ambassador said: "The strong relation between Washington and Kuwait requires us to communicate with the US. It is a normal and continuing matter on all levels." The said HH the premier's visit is part of continuing dialogue and consultation with the US.
He said Sheikh Nasser will meet tomorrow with US Vice-President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, adding that the file of bilateral relations will figure out prominently during talks between both sides.
They are also expected to hold talks on bilateral military cooperation and Gulf security as well as the latest Arab developments, chiefly the so-called Arab Spring.
