(With photos) KUWAIT, Aug 29 (KUNA) -- Director General of European Waqf (Endowment) Dr. Ahmed al-Rawi extolled here on Sunday the support granted by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Kuwait to the Islamic centers and charitable organizations in Europe.
Al-Rawi,also former president of Islamic Organizations Union, said in a press statement that this support has contributed to enrich the work of those institutions calling for the good, social righteousness and renouncing extremism and terrorism. He stressed the importance of the role of Kuwait played consistently in all international forums in support of the Islamic centers and Islamic institutions.
On the occasion of his visit to the country along with the EU delegation, al-Rawi said that there is no town, village or a European institution that lacks Muslims, thanks to the Islamic organizations in Europe.
Asked about the relations of the Islamic organizations operating in European countries with the European community, al-Rawi pointed out that the Islamic organizations seek to deal with European opponents in a positive manner for the sake stabilizing the Islamic presence, in addition to the call for integration and interaction with the various sects of the European society.
