(With photos) CAIRO, March 11 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti minister of health Dr. Hilal Musaed Al-Sayer said here Thursday the Arab ministers of health are to discuss during their meeting today a number of health topics and at their forefront fighting the H1N1 virus, better known as the swine flu.
Minister Al-Sayer said in a press statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the sidelines of his participation in the 34th session of the council of the Arab ministers of health started here that there is full coordination between Kuwait and other members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), especially in the seasons of pilgrimage and lesser pilgrimage on fighting the swine flu, adding that Saudi Arabia took the lead on this regard.
He also pointed out that there is GCC cooperation on exchanging data and statistics related to the infections and deaths of the Swine flu as a comprehensive plan was devised for fighting the virus through a media plan on education and treatment along with another plan for providing drugs.
Finally, Al-Sayer said that the problem of getting infected with the swine flu has greatly receded of late, though he stressed the readiness for an another wave of the virus. (end) sm.aff KUNA 111633 Mar 10NNNN
