IRBIL, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- Five policemen and four civilians were wounded in two separate incidents in Kirkuk, northern Iraq, police sources said Friday.
A police coordination center source told KUNA that an explosive device went off in Ras Domez district as a police patrol vehicle was passing by, injuring four policemen.
Other patrols rushed to the area, upon which a second explosion occurred and wounded a fifth police personnel, a brigadier, and two civilians who were standing close to the location, according to the source.
Moreover, the source said unknown gunmen in a car opened fire on residents of Abu Faraj village, southern Kirkuk, wounding two civilians. (end) sbr.ema KUNA 171049 Aug 07NNNN
