Interior Ministry Undersecretary affirms ministry's readiness at all times
KUWAIT, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- Interior Ministry's Undersecretary
Lieutenant-General Nasser Al-Othman on Wednesday affirmed that "love for
Kuwait is proven through deeds, not words" as pointed out by H.H. the Amir
Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
During the visit of H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber
Al-Sabah to Kuwait's Police Officers Club, Al-Othman lauded the security
forces' role in preserving Kuwait's peace and stability through battling all
forms of crime and terrorism with the use of precautionary methods and
counter-measures.
While saying that the joint leadership, with the National Guards, army and
Civil defense, is performing its role in observing all regional developments
to ensure Kuwait's safety, Al-Othman said the ministry has finished the first
phases of the security systems for the security of land borders and regional
waters.
Al-Othman lauded the endorsement of H.H. the Prime Minister for the overall
security monitoring system by placing cameras in Kuwait's strategic areas,
adding that the ministry is also working on establishing the national DNA
database that will include all citizens and expatriates in coordination with
the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI).
Upcoming projects, he added, include developing the ministry's central
operations room for speedier response to reports and establishing a
specialized institute for criminal studies to boost the ministry's abilities.
