BAGHDAD, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- The US Army in Iraq said Thursday it recently
finished the maintenance of Mosul Airport, north of Iraq.
In a press release, the army said maintenance was carried out and the
facility can now be opened for civil aviation.
It said the airport will be opened next December, without specifying a
certain day.
Mosul Airport is the only airport in the Iraqi Ninawa governorate, the
second largest city in the country.(end)
