North Koreans open fire, wound 3 Russian personnel at sea -- Interfax

MOSCOW, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- North Korean fishermen opened fire and wounded three Russian military personnel at sea on Tuesday, the Russian authorities said.
The Russian news agency, Interfax, quoted security sources as saying the incident happened when Russian border guards were inspecting "the Russian economic zone" in the Sea of Japan.
The North Koreans were in a fishing boat when they opened fire at the Russian troops.
Interfax said the Russian forces held scores of North Korean fishermen in the region. (end) as.rk
