CAIRO, March 4 (KUNA) -- The 149th session of the Arab League Council for permanent delegates kicked off Sunday to discuss a number of pertaining joint Arab action, particularly the Palestinian cause and the Arab-Israeli conflict.
The meeting will also discuss the activation of the Arab Peace Initiative, as well as developments and violations in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
It will further discuss the developments of the settlements, the separation wall, prisoners, refugees, UNRWA and development on ground in Palestine, said a League statement.
The meeting will also discuss the issue of Arab water security and Israel's confiscation of water in the occupied territories, in addition to the occupied Golan Heights in Syria.
The meeting will also tackle the developments in Syria, Lebanon, Libya and Yemen, as well as ways to adopt a unified Arab position regarding the violation of Iraqi sovereignty by the Turkish forces, in addition to Iran's occupation of the UAE islands.
Heading the Kuwaiti delegation to the meeting is Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs, Ambassador Aziz Al-Daihani and Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the League Ahmad Al-Baker. (end) mfm.ss
