KUWAIT, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- Vietnam's Ambassador Trinh Minh Manh has praised Kuwait Red Crescent Society's significant efforts in relief and humanitarian activities around the world.
Manh made his remarks to KUNA Sunday after meeting with KRCS' Chairman Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, expressing his appreciation to KRCS' role in aiding people who face natural disasters, and alleviating their humanitarian suffering.
He said he has viewed the humanitarian capacity program that KRCS currently implements in various countries, including Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Indonesia, and Philippines, in addition to its efforts to relief Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon, and improve their humanitarian conditions.
The Society gives its humanitarian projects a great importance acting upon the directions of the country's wise leadership, which is keen on providing all necessary needs from various walks of life to those most in need around the world.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese diplomat mentioned that he discussed with Al-Sayer a number of topics related to humanitarian and voluntary action, and ways to boost them between the two countries.
He also affirmed his country's solid relationship and close cooperation with Kuwait in several political, economic, and commercial fields.
Meanwhile, Al-Sayer expressed to KUNA his joy of the Vietnamese ambassador's visit to check out KRCS' activities and achievements that hoisted Kuwait's regional and international status higher.
He also said that the meeting addressed the Society's humanitarian and relief actions inside and outside Kuwait stemming from its role in that regard on all levels. (end) zak.ma
