OIC deplores missile attack on Najran

JEDDAH, Jan 5 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Friday sharply condemned a ballistic missile attack by Yemen's Houthi militias on the Saudi city of Najran.
OIC Secretary-General Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen said the continued launching of ballistic missiles towards Saudi Arabia proves Houthi militias' non-stop hostile and criminal approach aiming at disrupting the kingdom's security and stability.
Al-Othaimeen reiterated that his organization completely stands by the kingdom and backs all measures taken by the Saudi government to maintain Saudi security and stability.
The OIC chief commended the Saudi Air Force for intercepting and destroying the ballistic missile launched by Houthi militias.
The Saudi-led Arab Coalition Forces for Supporting the Legitimacy in Yemen said earlier Friday that it had intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Yemeni territory at the Saudi city of Najran. (end) nsa.mt
