Power outage hits Atlanta Int'l Airport

WASHINGTON, Dec 17 (KUNA) -- A massive power outage hit several areas at Atlanta International Airport (ATL), which is considered the busiest airport in the world, paralyzing the movement there and "affecting concourses and terminal buildings," it was reported Sunday.
The Atlanta Airport said in a tweet that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) "has set a ground stop for flights into ATL due to the outage," which means that flights coming into the airport are held at departure airports.
The Georgia Power indicated it is "aware of a situation currently being investigated at this time," while officials are working to "remedy the situation," the airport affirmed.
It was not clear what caused this outage or how long it will take to be resorted. (end) si.sd
