National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim attends Qatar's National Day celebrations
KUWAIT, Dec 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim on Sunday congratulated Qatar on its National Day and hoped security and stability would be maintained across all Gulf states.
During their attendance of Qatar's National Day celebrations at its embassy in Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad also congratulated Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and the Qatari people on the occasion.
For his part, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah underlined the strength of relations between Kuwait and Qatar.
Speaking to reporters at the event, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled said he was proud of Doha's achievements made on the scale of development along with various other regional and international accomplishments.
Qatar's National Day on December 18 marks the unification of the state in 1878. (end)
