GAZA, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- Scores of Palestinians were injured Monday in clashes with Israeli troops near Gaza amidst continued protests over the US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel.
Gaza hospitals received on Monday 24 people who were wounded in the clashes, Health Ministry Spokesman Ashraf Al-Qodra told reporters.
He added that medical teams in the protest scenes had also treated over 40 others from suffocation after tear gas inhalation.
Palestinians in Gaza have been demonstrating for the fifth consecutive day over US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and to move the US embassy to Jerusalem. (end)
