Mosque attack kills 54 people, injures 75 others in N. Sinai

CAIRO, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- At least 54 people were killed and 75 others wounded in a bomb attack on a mosque in Egypt's North Sinai on Friday, official sources said.
The bomb attack took place at Al Rawdah mosque in Bir al-Abed, west of Arish city in North Sinai, the sources were quoted by Egypt's official news Agency (MENA) as saying.
The victims were taken to nearby hospitals, the MENA added.
Meanwhile, Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi is heading a security meeting to look into the fatal attack, Egyptian TV reported. (end) hdr.mt
