Kuwaiti citizen in Iran in good health, hope to be released soon - Jarallah

KUWAIT, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti diplomats in Tehran visited Kuwaiti citizen Faleh Al-Azmi who was detained after mistakenly entered a military zone, and confirmed he was treated well, Deputy Foreign Minister said Sunday and hoped Al-Azmi would be released soon.
Khaled Al-Jarallah said the diplomats assured Al-Azmi was in a good health condition, and commended the Iranian authorities for the good treatment of the Kuwaiti citizen.
Al-Jarallah was speaking to reporters on sidelines of a reception held by the Omani Embassy to mark the Sultunate national day.
Iran promised to allow family of Al-Azmi to visit him soon, he said.
Iranian security authorities arrested Al-Azmi last September after entering, en route to Kuwait, a military zone on the Iran-Turkey borders by mistake. (end) nmo.bs
