KUWAIT, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Sunday congratulated a pair of Kuwaiti military officials for being the recipients of prestigious French military decorations.
His Highness the Amir's sentiments were expressed in a cable he sent to the Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti National Guard Lieutenant General Hashim Al-Refai, congratulating him on being awarded France's "National Order of the Legion of Honor", the most prestigious decoration given by Paris.
Similarly, Lieutenant Colonel Anwar Al-Rashidi also received well wishes in a cable sent to him by His Highness the Amir after France bestowed upon him its "National Order of Merit", a decoration awarded by the French President.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also sent similar cables. (end)
