ANKARA, Nov 17 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday his country has withdrawn its troops from a NATO military drill in Norway after Erdogan's name and the picture of Turkish Republic's founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk were used in an "enemy chart".
"They used an enemy chart in Norway. In that chart, there was my name and Ataturk's picture," Erdogan told a ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party rally Ankara.
He noted that he was informed about the issue by Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar and EU Affairs Minister Omer Celik.
The Turkish president added that they were withdrawing 40 Turkish soldiers from Norway. (end) rs.mt
