SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt, Nov 6 (KUNA) -- Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi said Monday Cairo would continue its efforts to bring about resumption of negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis.
"Egyptian efforts will continue until the conclusion of a just and comprehensive solution that guarantees right of Palestinians to establish their independent state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital," Al-Sisi said during a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Al-Sisi, cited by official media, said Egypt would also sought to restore security and stability in the Middle East, and creating suitable atmosphere for economic development.
The meeting was held on sidelines of the Arab Youth Forum, held in this Egyptian Red Sea Resort.
Abbas said he was keen on consulting with Al-Sisi over the Palestinian issue.
He said the Palestinian Authority was determined to unite the Palestinian people to face huge challenges facing them. (end) aff.bs
