KUWAIT, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- A decision was made to delay the hiring of nurses from India until further regulations and rules were set, said Health Minister Dr. Jamal Al-Harbi Wednesday.
Speaking to the press after meeting with the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Sunil Jain, Dr. Al-Harbi said that the decision was made after discussions on the issue were held with the ambassador.
The Health Ministry is interested to hire the best of the best of medical technicians and nurses from Indian; therefore, this decision was taken accordingly, said the minister.
The Kuwaiti and Indian governments will further discuss the issue and further announcements will be revealed hopefully soon, said the minister. (end) ndq.gta
