ABU DHABI, Oct 31 (KUNA) -- Undersecretary at Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity and Water Mohammad Bushehri praised on Tuesday the UAE hosting of the International Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Power in the 21st Century due in Abu Dhabi.
This conference is considered as a vital event to exchange expertise and information with specialized international experts in the field of peaceful nuclear energy, he said in remarks to KUNA today.
This international assembly, which gathers 700 people from 68 countries, is an opportunity to discuss means of supporting peaceful nuclear energy.
It will shed light on the contributions of nuclear energy in sustainable development and countering climate change.
He also expressed his admiration of the UAE plans to construct four peaceful nuclear power plants.
The first conference, organized every four years, was held 2005 in Paris, France. The second event lwas held in Beijing, China while the third one was held in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 2013. (end) bsu.lb
