Death toll of Israeli bombing of Gaza tunnel climb to seven

GAZA, Oct 30 (KUNA) -- The death toll of the Israeli bombing of a tunnel in Gaza has jumped to seven and the number of injured people rose to 11, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced.
Spokesman of the Palestinian Health Ministry Ashraf Al-Qodwa stated that the bodies were recovered from the destroyed tunnel in Deir Al-Balah neighborhood.
He that the wounded, some seriously, were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry stated that rescue teams are racing against time to search for survivors under the rubble of the tunnel.
In separate statement, Palestinian factions called for an urgent meeting to discuss the response to the Israeli assault.
In the meantime, Hamas and Fatah movements condemned the Israeli crime against Palestinian people. They also accused Israel of trying to undermine the Palestinian reconciliation efforts.
Earlier, the Israeli army said its forces blew up a tunnel on the Gaza Strip border near the Israeli security fence. It also stressed that it has deployed anti-rocket Iron Dome batteries on the border with Gaza in anticipation of rockets firing from Gaza groups. (pickup previous) wab.ibi
