VIENNA, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- Advisor at the Legal Advice and Legislation of the Cabinet of Ministers Abdullah Mubarak Al-Sharif praised on Sunday the results of the Kuwaiti delegation's participation in the 29th session of the First Working Group on Small and Medium Enterprises in the United Nations Commission for International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).
In a statement to KUNA, Al-Sharif said that Kuwaiti delegation highlighted the single-window project and separation of corporate founding and licensing procedures to reduce the company-founding period from 45 to four days.
He said that Kuwait's participation in the session, which ended last Friday, was an "important opportunity" to learn from the experiences of other countries in developing the laws and regulations, and presenting the experiences of Kuwait in facilitating and reducing the legal procedures for registering establishments.
He added that Kuwait is a pioneer in supporting small and medium enterprises, pointing to the issuance of Law No. 10/1998 to set up a portfolio with the Industrial Bank of Kuwait to support and finance craft activity and small enterprises.(end) amq.haq
