Iran hails Hamas' commitment to armed struggle

TEHRAN, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Ali Akbar Velayati, Chairperson of the Strategic Studies Center, on Saturday lauded the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas for maintaining the armed struggle against Israel.
"We congratulate you for taking the adequate stance declaring non-abundance of the arms and that you view this a red line," Velayati said addressing a visiting Hamas delegation led by Saleh Al-Arouri, deputy chair of the Islamic organization politburo.
Velayati's council is affiliated to the influential decision-making body in the Islamic Republic, the Expediency Council.
Earlier, parliament speaker Ali Larijani hosted Al-Arouri, discussing issues of common concern. (pickup previous) mw.rk
