VIENNA, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait provided a donation worth 467,000 euro (KD 167,000) for the expansion of an Islamic high school in the capital Podgorica.
Kuwaiti Ambassador to Serbia and non-resident ambassador to Montenegro Yousif Abdulsamad met with Montenegrin Islamic officials to deliver the donation of Kuwait's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Kuwait Embassy in Serbia said in a statement received by KUNA on Tuesday.
The expansion will include a cultural center and a dorm for female students, said the embassy. The place will be called "Kuwait center" in appreciation for Kuwait's support, it added.
Kuwait is continuously supporting humanitarian work in every field around the world, said Abdulsamad.
On their part, the Islamic officials thanked Kuwait for supporting the vital field of education in Montenegro. (end) amq.fad.ag
