KUWAIT, Sept 23 (KUNA)

1976 -- The Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issued a traffic decree stipulating motorists must apply for licenses and abide by traffic laws.
1990 -- Iraqi occupiers of Kuwait withdrew all Kuwaiti banknotes from circulation and replaced the national currency with the Iraqi dinar at an equal rate with the Kuwaiti dinar.
1998 -- The State of Kuwait honored theatrical artist, Abdulaziz Al-Nimesh, one of those who have enriched the national culture.
2002 -- Kuwait chaired the IAEA's Board of Governors for the 2002-2003 term, on behalf of the Middle East and South Asia.
2010 -- Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Sabah chaired ministerial meetings of GCC and member states of the Rio group for boosting ties between the Gulf State and Latin American nations. (end).
