AMMAN, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Recent explosions near Damascus airport seems to have resulted from Israeli warplanes targeting Hezbollah ammunition warehouses, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Friday.
According to media outlets loyal to the Syrian regime, the Israeli operation did not result in human casualties; however, there are some property damages reported.
Eyewitnesses in the areas near Damascus airport said that surface-to-air missiles were launched against Israeli warplanes but this defensive measure seemed useless. (pickup previous)
