Iraq's military fully liberates western town from IS

BAGHDAD, Sept 21 (KUNA) -- Iraq's Joint Operations Command on Thursday announced the full liberation of the town of Anah, west, from the so-called Islamic State (IS).
Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command Lt. Gen. Abdul-Amir Yarallah said in a statement that the Iraqi flag was hoisted over buildings in Anah.
Thus, the IS still controls only two towns in Iraq, Rawa and Al Qaem, that are close to the borders with Syria.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi forces are launching war on IS posts in areas of Hawija town, west of Kirkuk in northern Iraq, and East Sahrqat, north of Salah-Eddin Governorate.(end) ah.mmj.msa
