Iran rejects renegotiating JCPOA

TEHRAN, Sept 19 (KUNA) - Iran on Tuesday reaffirmed its rejection of renegotiating the nuclear deal the country concluded with the world powers more than two years ago.
Tehran under no circumstances will accept to renegotiate the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), official media quoted the Supreme Leader's Advisor for Strategic International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati as saying.
Velayati added that the nuclear talks were very prolonged and no offer for its revision or its change by any party is acceptable.
On regional developments, he said Iran's stances accordingly are crystal clear, including support for territorial integrity of all countries in the region, among them Iraq. Polling in Iraqi Kurdistan, as part of an independent country like Iraq, will lead to the disintegration of the country and the Iraqi government along with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the international community are opposed to such move, he said.
In July 2015, Iran and the 5+1 group of world powers- the five permanent members of the UNSC, and Germany- concluded the JCPOA after 12-year negotiations. (end) mw.amm.msa
