Explosion in Iraq leads to death of 3 people

BAGHDAD, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- Three people were killed while 34 others were injured in a terrorist attack targeting an area in Saladin province north of the capital Baghdad, said a security source Tuesday.
Speaking to the press, Interior Ministry spokesman Colonel Saad Ma'en revealed that two terrorists detonated their explosives while outside a restaurant in Al-Hajaj area near Tikrit city in Saladin province.
There was a third terrorist at the scene; however, the police managed to take him out before he could carry out his attack, said the spokesman, adding that the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. (end) ahh.gta
