KUWAIT, Sept 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador to Australia Najib Abdurahman Al-Bader discussed with Australia's official in charge of Counter-terrorism Paul Foley issues related to combating terrorism and strengthening bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and Australia.
The Kuwaiti diplomat stressed Kuwait's efforts and synergy with the international community to counter terrorism and dry up its sources of financing.
He added that Kuwait is working side by side with the international community against terrorism and its financing, through full commitment to the relevant UNSC resolutions and recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
For his part, Foley welcomed the strengthening of bilateral security cooperation between the two countries to address the challenges related to terrorism, stressing the importance of strengthening international cooperation to combat terrorism.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Director of the Counter-terrorism Department for the Middle East and Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bred Jung, and Advisor Mohammed Al-Arifan.(end) kns.haq
