"Iranian experience" in Yemen has failed -- president

RIYADH, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi affirmed on Wednesday that "the Iranian experience" in his country has ended in failure.
Signs of scoring victory against the rebel militias are looming on the horizon, the president said in a statement he made as he chaired a meeting that included senior officials of the legitimate leadership of Yemen in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
Quoted by the official Yemeni news agency, the president said the militias would be defeated and the state institutions would be reinstated.
He re-affirmed that results of the national dialogue and building a federal Yemen based on justice and equality are the Yemeni people's choice.
The Houthi rebels continue to reject this approach, he re-affirmed.
On the situation in Aden, he said that the city situation has noticeably improved.
President Hadi has accused Iran of backing the Houthi militias with aim of setting up an entity aligned with Tehran. (end) mdm.rk
