Saudi King orders facilitating entry of Qatari pilgrims

JEDDAH, Aug 16 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud approved on Wednesday the recommendations of Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud regarding facilitation of the entry of Qatari pilgrims into the Kingdom.
The King instructed allowing the Qatari nationals to cross into the Kingdom by air and via Salwa border crossing to perform the hajj rituals without electronic permits, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
King Salman ordered the competent agencies to transport the Qatari pilgrims from King Fahad International Airport in Al-Dammam Province and Al-Ahsa International Airport in the Eastern Province to Jeddah International Airport.
The royal instructions also include sending Air Arabia aircraft to Doha to carry Qatari Pilgrims to Jeddah airport.
King Salman ordered that all costs of transportation and hosting of the Qatari pilgrims will be covered by him as part of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' guest program The royal instructions followed the meeting between Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Abdullah bin Jassem Al Thani, of Qatar, at the Peace Palace here earlier today.
During the meeting, both sides agreed that the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar are historical, sisterly and deep-rooted. (end) nh.gb
