KUWAIT, Aug 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Environment Public Authority (EPA) said on Friday it was taking all appropriate measures in order to protect water outlets from an oil spill near Kuwait's southern Ras Al-Zour area.
The EPA said in a press release that while it sought to determine the source of the oil spill, it was taking all necessary moves to safeguard the area of water outlets by using rubber bumpers.
It added that it was working with the oil sector, mainly the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), to find the source of the oil spill and even determine its exact size. (end) mf.abd.mt
