"Kuwait by Your Side" offers new 4,750 food baskets to Yemenis

RIYADH, Aug 10 (KUNA) - The "Kuwait by Your Side" humanitarian campaign distributed on Thursday 4,750 food packages to conflict-trumatized families in Yemen's Ibb Governorate.
A statement issued by the campaign quoted the rotating President of the Kuwaiti-Yemeni Relief Agency Showqi Ba'athim as saying that the campaign has implemented many aid projects in various Yemeni provinces.
Ba'athim affirmed that similar aid campaigns would be launched in different Yemeni provinces in the upcoming days.
For his part, campaign manager Humoud Al-Awaadhi commended such initiative, including Kuwait's efforts to help and support the Yemeni people since the eruption of the crisis in the country.
In recent months, "Kuwait by Your Side" campaign doled out thousands of food baskets in a number of Yemeni governorates, including Hadhramaut, Taiz, and Lahj as part of its permanent relief efforts in the conflict-ravaged Arab country. (end) mdm.mb
