ISTANBUL, July 27 (KUNA) -- A Turkish citizen was killed on Thursday in a shooting from the Iranian side in Yأ¼ksekova in Turkey's southeastern Hakkari Province, it was announced.
Two Turkish citizens went to Yأ¼ksekova to collect wild grass on Thursday, where they came under shooting from the Iranian side, leaving one of them wounded, Hakkari Province said in a statement.
The injured citizen died of wounds at Yأ¼ksekova Public Hospital, it added.
Turkish authorities have immediately opened investigations into the incident. (end)
