Jeddah hosts mass wedding party

JEDDAH, July 26 (KUNA) -- The Saudi city of Jeddah on Wednesday organized a mass wedding party for 1,400 young men and women as part of the Farah Jeddah festival.
The ceremony was organized by a Saudi charity to help young people get married at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events.
The festival was held in the presence of Jeddah Governor Mishal bin Majed on behalf of the patron of the ceremony, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince of Makkah Region Khaled Al-Faisal, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Ahmad Al-Sultan, Chairman of the Charity Association for Youth Assistance in Marriage and Family Guidance, said that the association helped in the marriage of 80,000 young men and women.
He added that the association has training programs targeting the preparation and rehabilitation of young men and women wishing to get married in order to familiarize them with relevant requirements to avoid possible family problems. (end) nsa.mb
