Kuwait's crude oil exports to China up 4 pct

TOKYO, July 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's crude oil exports to China in the first half of 2017 rose 4.0 percent from the same period of 2016 to 324,000 barrels per day (bpd), government data showed.
In June alone, Kuwait exported 315,000 bpd to the Asian country, down 3.5 percent on the year, according to the General Administration of Customs. Kuwaiti shipments of crude oil to China exceeded 300,000 bpd level for the fourth month in a row, it said.
China's overall imports of crude oil in June increased 17.9 percent from a year earlier to 8.8 million bpd. Russia remained China's top supplier, with its shipments jumping 27.1 percent on the year to 1.28 million bpd, followed by Angola with 1.01 million bpd, up 10.5 percent. Saudi Arabia became third, with imports from the kingdom shrinking 15.7 percent to 941,000 bpd. Iraq ranked fourth and Brazil fifth, respectively. (end) mk.lb
