KUWAIT, July 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait on Friday strongly condemned Israeli acts against Palestinian worshipers in Jerusalem, calling on Israel to completely open up Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque.
An official source at the Foreign Ministry, in a statement, called for removing all obstacles preventing Palestinians from performing their prayers and practicing their rights, and for the Israeli authorities to respect relevant international charters, as well as stop provoking Muslims around the world.
The official source urged the international community pressure Israel in order to abide by international agreements, mainly the Geneva Conventions, and to immediately stop violations that would only bring more violence and instability in the region.
Recently, Israel shut down the Holy Mosque in front of Muslim worshipers in the aftermath of clashes that erupted between three Palestinians and two Israelis, killing all of them. (end) msa.mys
