US welcomes Saudi, Sudanese commitment to fight terrorism

WASHINGTON, July 20 (KUNA) -- The US welcomed recent announcements from Saudi Arabia and Sudan underscoring Sudan's commitments to sustain dialogue with the US and continue collective efforts to fight terrorism, the State Department announced.
In its 2016 terrorism report, the US recently noted Sudan's improved counterterrorism efforts through, "enhanced interagency and international cooperation to address the threat from ISIS and other terrorist organizations, and its willingness to pursue counterterrorism operations alongside regional partners, including operations to counter threats to US interests and personnel in Sudan," the statement highlighted.
