Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Sameeh Hayat with the Chinese delegation during their visit
KUWAIT, July 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Sameeh Hayat Friday stressed the importance of the Chinese delegation's recent visit to the country, in which they met His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and senior officials.
The objectives of the "successful" visit were achieved, especially that Kuwait and China have identical views on many issues, Ambassador Hayat said.
Hayat also praised the great hospitality of His Highness the Amir during the delegation's visit, which took place from July 10 to 14.
The visit aimed at attracting foreign investment to Kuwait and increasing trade exchange between the two countries, as well as to participate in the implementation of mega projects in Kuwait in line with His Highness the Amir's 'New Kuwait' 2035 vision and China's (Road and Belt Initiative).
The delegation, during the visit, tackled the latest developments and proposals for Kuwait development plan and the revival of the ancient Silk Road through the establishment of strategic projects such as (Silk City) and Kuwait's five islands' development. (end)
