Egypt busts cell planning attacks

CAIRO, June 24 (KUNA) -- Government security personnel have cracked down on a secretive cell arresting "six terrorists including two would-be suicide bombers," the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.
The cell, which plotted to attack a church in Alexandria, had launched attacks on vital installations and churches in several provinces in the past.
The detainees planned to launch attacks during Eid Al-Fitr and on the fourth anniversary on the June 30 rebellion.
They had hidden in an apartment flat in Alexandria to prepare for the new attacks. Explosives were found in the hideout. (end) ms.rk
