1925 -- Tunisian President Abdulaziz Al-Thaalabi visits Kuwait.
1962 -- The first issue of "Al-Talea" newspaper was published, with Abdulrazzaq Al-Khalid as Editor-in-Chief.
1964 -- Kuwait inaugurates embassy in Morocco.
1980 -- A constitutional amendment committee, formed by an Amiri decree, ended 18 weeks of meetings of studying 13 government proposals and one committee proposal to amend the second article of the constitution to read "Islam is the state's religion and Islamic Shariah (law) is the main source of legislation." 1982 -- The Allied Medical Sciences and Nursing College at Kuwait University was founded, by Amiri decree.
1983 -- The Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC), a public shareholding company, was established with a capital of KD 25 million.
1999 -- The International Leasing and Investment Company was established as the first Kuwaiti dollar-capitalized company. Its capital was set at USD 50 million.
1999 -- Al-Qadsiya Sports Club was crowned champion of the football tournament of martyr Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
2003 -- The Cabinet approved the Foreign Ministry's request to change the name of the state's Um Qaser area to Al-Buhaith to differentiate between it and the Iraqi Um Qaser area.
2004 -- Al-Qadsiya Sports Club was crowned, for the 11th time, champion of the Amir football tournament.
2007 -- Alaan started operating as the first online Kuwaiti newspaper of its kind. It is supervised by Dr. Saad Bin Tifla Al-Ajmi.
2009 -- Kuwait Sports Club wins 47th Amiri cup for the ninth time in its history after beating Al-Arabi.
2010 -- Kuwait and Denmark sign an accord for averting double taxation and tax evasion.
2010 -- Kuwaiti cardiologist Ibrahim Al-Rashdan invent a new catheterization technique to treat heart veins and arteries. (end) hb
