Kuwait, Turkey discuss fostering relations, exchanging expertise

ANKARA, June 21 (KUNA) -- Turkish and Kuwaiti ministers tackled means of increasing trade exchange in the upcoming years, which were the focus of a meeting between visiting Kuwaiti Minister of Trade and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan and Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci Wednesday.
The two ministers also discussed ways of boosting and developing cooperation to be in favor of interests of the two nations.
During the meeting, they reviewed drawing up a draft of a joint agreement between the Kuwait National Fund For Small And Medium Enterprise Development and the Turkish fund to share expertise in this field.
Al-Roudhan, also Acting Minister of State for Youth Affairs, said the meeting touched upon activating agreements between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti minister met Turkish Minister Industry and Technology Minister Faruk Ozlu and discussed means of activating deals, and sharing and transferring expertise in this field.
Al-Roudhan stressed the importance of supporting cooperation, and taking part in training courses and workshops, indicating that the two sides dealt with agreements on backing technical and scientific cooperation.
He noted that they focused on an MoU signed by the two governments on developing exports and new industrial cities. (end) sam.hm
