Iranian official sees thaw in ties with Iraq

TEHRAN, June 20 (KUNA) -- Relations between Iran and Iraq are "moving towards progress and growth", Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said on Tuesday.
In a press conference alongside Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi, Jahangiri said that Tehran and Baghdad "have found much common ground" and hoped that his talks with Abadi will produce tangible results.
The Iraqi Prime Minister arrived in Tehran on Tuesday for an official visit, where he will meet with senior Iranian officials in an effort to improve bilateral ties. (end) mw.nam
